La temporada de premiaciones en Hollywood ha comenzado, ya se han entregado tanto los premios Emmy, enfocados a la industria de la televisión americana, y los Golden Globes, los primeros de la temporada que retoman tanto los trabajos televisivos como los cinematográficos, en los cuales resultaron ganadores grandes favoritos, como es el caso de Joaquin Phoenix por su papel como Joker y Olivia Colman por su interpretación como la Reina Isabel II en la serie de Netflix, “The Crown”, pero también hubo grandes sorpresas como los premios a Awkwafina y Taron Egerton por sus actuaciones en “The Farewell” y “Rocketman” respectivamente y el premio a mejor película, obtenido por la cinta 1917 de Sam Mendes.

Para seguir el camino rumbo a los premios Oscar 2020, el próximo domingo 12 de enero se entregarán los Critic’s Choice Awards, con bastantes categorías y entregados directamente por profesionales de la crítica cinematográfica y televisiva, donde repiten varios de los nominados para los Golden Globes y augura nominaciones para los Academy Awards.
